⭐ Zosia Hołubowska – TEXTURES FROM ARCHIVAL SAMPLES

During this intermediate level workshop, sound artist, producer and founder of Sounds Queer, Zosia Hołubowska will share their practice of working with archival samples. They will share their sources and creative ways to process what can be found online. The artists will focus on creating evolving, emotive textures, using both native effects of Ableton Live, as well as artists-created plug-ins. As the meeting is designed as a hands-on workshop, it is advised to bring a laptop with installed Ableton Live and headphones.

13:30-15:00 (1,5h)

⭐ Dino Spiluttini – Organic Environments in Ableton Live with Modulation and Controlled

This workshop is intended for people familiar with Ableton Live’s interface and workflow.

Learn how to bypass your low confidence and self-loathing by curating rather than creating. Turn Ableton Live into an assistant capable of suggesting ideas, phrases and modulations that aren’t intrinsically your own, so you don’t have to judge them as harshly as you usually would.

Explore what the term ‘interesting production’ means and how to turn static arrangements into living, breathing organisms.

Those who want to follow along on site are advised to bring a laptop with Ableton Live 11 Suite. A free trial version is available to download from Ableton’s website. If time allows, you’re invited to share your own tips and tricks. Let there be no secrets and intellectual gatekeeping in music production.

Dino Spiluttini is working as a musician, producer, and mixing/mastering engineer in Vienna.

16:00-19:00 (3h)

Big up to our partner Ruby Marie Hotel & Bar for hosting us and Chris Atilla Izsák from our team for organizing this series!
