His ability to compress club energy and treat CDJs as expressive instruments has earned him iconic status far beyond the underground, pioneering a global network of artists radically reshaping the contours of electronic music and other disciplines. Carolina Schutzer, aka DJ Cashu, is a key figure in São Paulo’s queer underground electronic music scene, using her work to address urgent political issues. In an effort to decentralize and occupy the scene, she co-founded Mamba Negra with Carneosso in 2013: a collective that creates platforms for diverse artists through independent, self-managed events in abandoned spaces and squats. These events advocate for female representation and gender freedom while shaping one of São Paulo’s most influential electronic music movements.

A driving force in Brazil’s electronic scene, Cashu has performed in over 15 cities, playing at underground venues, major festivals, and international clubs like Panorama Bar/Berghain, Traición in Mexico and Dekmantel Festival. DJ Terror brings over a decade of experience commanding dance floors across Europe, known for her fast-paced, crowd-focused sets that blur the lines between rave, political edge, and pop-cultural commentary. She is a co-curator of the Vienna-based series DISHES, part of the BLISS collective, and a longtime Hyperreality collaborator, championing gender diversity and inclusivity in club culture.

Katia Curie, originally from Kyiv and now based in Vienna, draws from her classical music roots and the raw energy of the late '90s and early 2000s. Her sets are immersive and fluid, moving between vinyl and digital with an instinctive feel for mood and momentum. As both Katia Curie and under her Sonic Resistance alias, she has released on labels such as Antam Records, System Error, and Mindhelmet, while also shaping Vienna’s scene through her work with Hyperreality and Lighthouse Festival.

Emma dj is a Finnish-born Paris based sound artist and DJ who has been building a rapidly growing catalogue of releases as well as of a handful impromptu SoundCloud mixtapes. At Rewire, Paris-based producer Emma dj will debut a world premiere live performance featuring forthcoming, unreleased material alongside tracks from Lay2g (2024) – a bloghouse-revivalist album that sees him embracing a clubbier sound. Hyperreality will be the next stop for this new performance. The sharp, meticulously crafted album Lay2g blends the raw energy of dance punk, french touch, and bloghouse into a dynamic, full-bodied listening experience. Jung An Tagen challenges the notion of “experimental” – not as deviation but as the creation of compositional systems yielding unpredictable results. “Electronic” becomes both a rupture with tradition and a return to openness – fracturing musical syntax through obsessive repetition, motivic mutations, aleatoric structures, and moiré effects. It is the sound of dehumanization, mechanical strangeness, and ultimate fragmentation.

With two decades of releases on labels like Editions Mego and Diagonal, Stefan Juster explores techno’s outer edges at festivals such as Unsound and Sonic Acts. His music disorients, demands recalibration, and exists in perpetual explosion.

In 2020, he launched the netlabel ETAT.xyz, stripping away expressionist gestures to leave only form, abstraction, and emotional alienation. Since 2019, his audiovisual work with filmmaker Rainer Kohlberger immerses audiences in a vast perceptual field, dissolving self-world boundaries. His films extend the lineage of conceptual experimental cinema, updating it through cutting-edge technologies for the 21st century.

Moin navigate the space between the reassuringly familiar and the intriguingly unsettling. The London-based trio—comprising Tom Halstead and Joe Andrews of the acclaimed electronic outfit Raime, known for releases on the cult label Blackest Ever Black—are joined by visionary percussionist Valentina Magaletti. Their third album, You Never End, was released via AD 93 last October, boasting a striking title and an impressive lineup of vocal collaborators, including Olan Monk, James K, Coby Sey, and Sophia Al-Maria.

Moin’s music recontextualizes a range of guitar-based genres—grunge, shoegaze, and post-rock—through an enigmatic reimagining of the traditional band dynamic. Employing both conventional and unique compositional techniques, their sound is marked by a visceral immediacy that comes to life in full force during their live performances.

Rojin Sharafi, a Tehran-born, Vienna-based sound artist and composer, fuses raw emotion with electronic elements that mimic acoustic sounds. Her distinctive musical language blends analog, acoustic, and digital tools, creating sonic expressions that are both resilient and vulnerable.

Her debut album, Urns Waiting to be Fed, was hailed by The Quietus as “one of [2019’s] most ecstatic and fiercely original hours of music.” She followed with Zangaar (2020), Kariz (2021), and, in 2023, the debut album of her band HUUUM, exploring folk futurism.

Sharafi's compositions defy conventions, disrupting hierarchies of rhythm, melody, and timbre. Traces of traditional Iranian music collide with metallic percussion, 8-bit particles, and nuanced textures, subverting logical canons while remaining immersive. Her live performances have been showcased worldwide, reflecting her innovative contributions to contemporary music.

Tama Sumo's DJ style is defined by heart, emotion, and passion over pure functionality. She began her career in 1993 at Drama Bar in Berlin, one of the few venues playing house music amidst the city’s techno dominance. Her sets, initially rooted in New York-style vocal house, soon expanded as she became a resident at Café Moskau and later at Club Globus/Tresor for a decade, blending house with various electronic influences.

By 2001, she was playing regularly at Dance With The Aliens at OstGut, leading to her Panorama Bar and Berghain residency. Her sound evolved into a rich mix of house, disco, techno, Detroit electro, and pop, always guided by intuition and deep connection with the crowd. Since 2008, she has released music on Ostgut Ton. 2013, Tama Sumo and Lakuti started curating Friday nights at Panorama Bar, followed by the launch of Your Love in London in 2015. Now held quarterly at Panorama Bar, Your Love is a celebration of music and community.

Lakuti’s passion for music spans DJing, curating, and advocating for inclusivity in the scene. Born in Soweto, the Panorama Bar resident was shaped by her mother’s record collection and her grandfather’s love of jazz. Early exposure to Johannesburg’s club scene and the sounds of New York, Chicago, and Detroit proved transformative.

After studying law and film, she immersed herself in electronic music in Toronto before moving to London. There, she co-founded Sud Y Electronic and later launched Uzuri Recordings, expanding into artist management to uplift Black talent. Since 2020, she has hosted Bring Down The Walls on Universal Rhythms, continuing her mission to shape and strengthen electronic music culture.

Emerging from the underground parties of the Mamba Negra Collective, TETO PRETO has solidified itself as a provocative and powerful force in Brazil’s independent music scene. Blending electronic music with punk, rock, and Brazilian rhythms, the band’s intense performances address themes of sexuality, political resistance, and freedom of expression. Led by CARNEOSSO (Laura Diaz) on vocals and artistic direction, alongside Entropia (Matheus Câmara) on guitar and electronics and Marian Sarine on percussion and bass, the trio crafts a raw, boundary-pushing sound.

Their latest album, FALA, is a sharp and insatiable sonic manifesto, weaving through dubstep, drum’n’bass, garage, acid, reggaeton, and hyperpop. The album features collaborations with artists like Saskia, Thiago França, Getúlio Abelha, and Jup do Bairro, culminating in a remix by Clementaum and RKills that intensifies its hard techno and dubstep elements. THAO is a DJ and part of the Viennese collective sugarslip and the DJ trio Algoriddim Girls. Drawn to the genres that have emerged from the hardcore continuum, her sets have consistently paid tribute to UK music culture. 

Recently, THAO has embraced a more intentional approach to curation, critically reflecting on whose music is amplified and celebrated in club spaces. This shift has guided her exploration toward bass-heavy and percussive-driven electronic music produced by artists from Southeast and East Asian heritage, including those from diasporic communities. Many of these artists weave traditional rhythms and cultural references into their music, creating spaces of resistance, memory, and belonging.

This music resonates deeply with THAO's own identity – playing these tracks feels empowering, offering a way to connect with diasporic narratives, reclaim space, and amplify voices that are often underrepresented.

Thessa Torsing, known as upsammy, is an Amsterdam-based electronic artist and DJ blending intricate rhythms with crystalline melodies. Her music bridges synthetic and organic elements, crafting immersive soundscapes of comfort and desolation.

As a DJ and producer, upsammy explores left-field electronics, oddball techno, and experimental DnB, securing residencies at NTS Radio and Garage Noord and performing globally, at Unsound and Rewire among many. A graduate in Image and Media Technology of Utrecht University of the Arts, she integrates visual and sonic mediums, often collaborating with artist Sjoerd Martens in live performances.

Since 2017, she has released on labels like Nous’klaer Audio, AD93, and PAN, with albums such as "Zoom" (2020), "Germ in a Population of Buildings" (2024), “Strange Meridians” (2024), "Open Catalyst"( 2025),  showcasing her evolving, narrative-driven approach. Valentina Magaletti is a boundary-pushing drummer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist whose inventive approach to percussion blurs the lines between structure and unpredictability. Friction loss, glitch, clash – her compositions embrace complex, non-linear time structures that shift effortlessly between simple grooves, polyrhythmic overlays, and explosive rhythmic freedom. From marimbas to found objects, delicate ceramic kits to relentless motorik rhythms, her ever-evolving style defies convention.

Valentina Magaletti seamlessly bridges the experimental and mainstream, collaborating with artists like Radiohead members, Cate Le Bon, Floating Points, and Kamasi Washington, as well as avant-garde figures such as Gnod’s Marlene Ribeiro and Wire’s Graham Lewis. 

Her diverse body of work includes the psychedelic jazz of Vanishing Twin, the dub-infused Holy Tongue, and the acclaimed duo, Tomaga. As a solo artist, she explores texture and identity in projects like Batterie Fragile and A Queer Anthology of Drums. Across a remarkable run of releases in barely half a decade, London’s Loraine James has established her identity through a blend of refined composition, gritty experimentation, and unpredictable, intricate electronic programming. While titles released under her given name, on the esteemed label Hyperdub, tend toward IDM-influenced and vocal-heavy collaborations, James reserves her alias, Whatever The Weather, for a more impressionistic, inward gaze. 

On Whatever The Weather II she shifts the focus further toward textures, harmonies and melodies. The result is a uniquely fractured beauty, born from a compelling union of organic and human elements, processed through a variety of digital and analogue methods. 

Loraine James grew up in Enfield, North London, shaped by her mother’s eclectic taste and the city's multicultural sounds. Learning piano as a child, she later studied digital production at Westminster University, developing a uniquely intuitive and exploratory approach to music-making.
